Birthday parties
For the children's Archery Party, the normal booking is for two hours. The introductions are made, and then the basic instructions and rules are taught. These are in the interests of safety, and for this reason the children will have the first few "goes" under tight supervision dependent on age. This will be on a strict "one to one" basis until the coach is satisfied that the child can continue unaided. If all is well, the session will progress until a few can shoot together and hit the target consistently. After the first hour there will be a short break of about 10-15 minutes for refreshments and visits to the toilet. The final session will consist of a short competition after a short period of instruction in scoring. The targets will have balloons and sweets attached throughout as an added interest. At the end the winner will be announced at a short ceremony, and certificates will be awarded for attendance to all the guests, and the "Birthday Boy or Girl" will have a personalised certificate commemorating the event. He or she will also receive a birthday card from the coach.
We do not teach or allow crossbow, or bowhunting styles.
Weather. If it is raining, we will use a hall, but this will need to be booked in advance and these fees are non-refundable, see Fees below.
Ages. We can teach a whole range of people from the age of seven years (in exceptional circumstances we will accept six years of age if the child is reasonably physically capable) and above (Enhanced Disclosures are held), In keeping with current codes of practice, we expect parents or guardians to remain with their children (under sixteen years of age) until the lesson ends.

Fees. There are additional fees to pay if we shoot indoors in a hall. These are the charges levied upon us by the owners, and we pass these on. They are currently fixed at £35 per hour, and this will be charged in advance in addition to our regular charges if the circumstances dictate (ie. adverse weather conditions). We reserve the right to refuse permission for anyone to shoot, at our sole discretion. Our decision will be final.
If you want to hold your event at any other location, this will be subject to a prior inspection, and a fee will be payable to offset costs. This fee will be deducted from the final charge if the location is suitable and a booking is confirmed and goes ahead. If the location is unsuitable, you will be offered the opportunity of using our facilities, provided the time required, allows adequate time to secure a booking. If this offer is accepted, a non-refundable deposit will be required to secure the booking.
In the event of cancellation; if adequate notice of such cancellation is not received (a minimum of one week), we reserve the right to invoice for the balance in full.
